As many on the net are looking to make more money with Google AdSense, they are frequently asking for new ways to increase the relevancy of the Google AdSense ads shown on their sites. Google has announce two features to help you display highly targeted ads to your users in new and exciting ways.

Last year  Google introduced the Custom Search Element which allowed publishers to add Google search right to your Web site by installing a little bit of code which Adsense easily integrated with. The only catch to this was that if you wanted to use your own custom search on your site it didn’t integrate with Adsense at all. Google eliminated that issue when they released Adsense for search ads only. This is what they officially said:

“AdSense for search ads only allows you to monetize your sites’ own, non-Google search results. By adding just a few lines of JavaScript to your pages, you can pair AdSense for search ads with your homegrown search results. You can pick the size, shape and location of each ad block, and you can even adjust the style of the ads to better fit the look and feel of your site.”

What I like about this is that it is very easy to sign up, install the necessary code on your website so that Google ads pair up with your visitors search results, and how you want to ads appear on your site.

Google’s second new feature is Adsense for Ajax. Don’t get scared if you have no idea about Ajax.  If you don’t know what Ajax is then this new feature does not apply to you and to be honest your not missing anything that will limit your earning potential. One of the biggest problems with Ajax driven sites was that your AdSense ads would not refresh when the page content did. According to Google, with AdSense for Ajax, your Google AdSense for content ads will refresh whenever there’s a context change – regardless of whether the page reloads or not. This will increase the number of ads your visitors see because previous dynamic Adsense content only loaded when the user clicked onto a new page. Really this is great news for those who use Ajax on their sites and will dramatically help them make more AdSense money!
